Saving on Produce


It is very rare to see a coupon on a produce item. So how do you give your family the fresh fruits and veggies they need and love on a budget? Below is a month to month guide on the best times to buy fresh produce that I stumbled upon at Frugal living. I am going to keep an eye on prices and give it a shot. We all know produce is cheaper in season but I for one could not tell you when that season is for some of these things!


January:
oranges, grapefruit, tangerines, tangelos, lemons, papayas, cabbages: red, white and green; leeks, broccoli, cauliflower

February:
oranges, tangelos, grapefruit, lemons, papayas, broccoli, cauliflower

March:
pineapples, mangoes, broccoli, lettuce

April:

May:

June:

July:
