CHARLES LEONARD

SOUTH POINT — Charles F. Leonard, 64, of South Point, died on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky.
He was born Aug. 24, 1944 in Johnson City, N. Y., the son of the late James Edward and Mildred Ione Oliver Leonard.
He spent his early years in Clearwater, Fla. He was employed as a driver for the P.T.I. company, a member of the 7054-5 local steelworkers union, and was a member of the Rock of Grace Church of Huntington, W.Va.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Leonard and a sister, Grace Evelyn Durr.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Alger Leonard of South Point; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Ron and Melissa Leonard of Ironton, Anthony and Stephanie Leonard of Travelers Rest, S.C., Sean Leonard of Binghamton, N.Y., and Charles Hamby of Florida; two daughters, Christy Ward of South Point and Cindy Eggleston of Florida; six grandchildren; one brother, William Leonard of Brunswick, Ga.; and a sister, Janet Gosney of Clearwater, Fla.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Greider officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call after noon on Tuesday at the funeral home.
